Experience and share Chinese culture history and heritage

CADCAI is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community organisation. Our volunteers are involved in history,  collection management, research, exhibitions, school visits, Chinese New Year, organisational and event management, marketing and other activities.

We offer training and mentorship to people seeking to refresh or learn new skills, to meet new people or experience an entirely different culture.

CADCAI is a membership organisation. You don’t have to be Chinese to become a member. Membership is open to all with an interest in learning or sharing north Queensland’s Chinese history, culture and heritage.

Volunteer to help organise and manage CADCAI’s regular activities and events:

  • Chinese New Year and other festivals
  • Lion, dragon, Molihua dance performances
  • Chinese language classes
  • Museum collection management
  • Marketing and fundraising.

We are also looking for skills that can help us with our current signature project, the construction of the Chinese Cultural & Heritage Centre.
