The construction of the Chinese Culture and Heritage Centre reached a major milestone in April with the floor slab of the main building being poured. This follows the completed of ground works, filling, construction of retaining walls, under building plumbing and drainage and commencement of the electrical reticulation.
The rain since the start of the year has slowed progress on the site, however wet weather has been considered in our program, and the works are currently on track. Once the slab has cured blockwork will commence for the exterior walls.
We acknowledge the funding provided by the Queensland Government for this project.
